‘After All’ is the latest from Finnish Postcard

Finnish Postcard are a duo from LA, and Asking should be your introduction to their beautiful album Body.

Tastefully lo-fi (or maybe mid-fi?), sad acoustic guitars and warm, scuzzy vocals are accompanied by a drum machine with a classic ringing ride cymbal sound. Stabs of mellotron-esque vocal samples break up the song, while lovely organ sounds float above it all.

The songwriting is really class, and the curation of sounds is perfect. I urge every reader to listen on an early morning walk, a mid-day train ride, or find a nice patch of grass to sit on — and give this one the active listen it deserves.

It was never a conscious decision to cover so many artists and bands from LA in Somersault, but here we are again! There’s undeniably something exciting happening over there at the moment, and I’m eager to hear more.
