FELONY. says “’Tongue’ is a song about desire, and more specifically when desire meets resentment. There’s a deep frustration in the tone of the song, that is met with heavy longing and yearning for that connection. I can so clearly see where I was when I was writing ‘Tongue’. It comes from a place of heavy party culture, losing my mind in dark smoky rooms. I think you can hear that in the elements of dance music in the production. The bass sits in your chest, and the beat chugs you forward.”
